After years of private tutoring, Miley Cyrus scored a diploma but never attended a high school prom.
So when Arizona teen Matt Peterson created a video asking the 21-year-old pop star to be his date at the Arcadia High School prom on May 3, she took notice.
'Dear Matt Peterson, I don't think I'll be able to make it to prom,' the Wrecking Ball hitmaker tweeted to her 17 million followers Saturday.
'BUT why don't you come to my AZ show & hang w me? Don't forget a corsage!'
And Miley wasn't just giving the 17-year-old the brush-off either as she's already scheduled to bring her Bangerz Tour to Amsterdam on May 2.
Peterson - undaunted - announced he now needed a 'tongue tuxedo' made by the time he sits sixth row at her February 27 concert at the US Airways Center in Phoenix.
Cyrus then replied, 'PuHlEaSe!'
Matt has been making the media rounds ever since his YouTube proposal to the We Can't Stop singer went viral with 353,000 views.
'I have been a fan of yours from the beginning. You've changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life,' Matt said on camera.
The fame-hungry teenager - nicknamed 'Mr. Cyrus' - has already done an interview with Entertainment Tonight and he's doing Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Monday.
Petersen's attention-grabbing three-minute video even shows off his swimmer's build with only a foam finger to cover his modesty.
'If you aren't the slow dancing type, no worries. I got to public school and grinding is allowed!' he helpfully added.
Turns out this will not the be the pair's first meeting, as Matt once broke down in tears after meeting Miley during her KissFM interview in 2009.
Six months later, he even scored a shout-out from the Hannah Montana star at her concert.
Petersen then said: 'I promise you, we will have a great time, and, after our first encounter, I won't cry on your dress.'
The Adore You singer's Bangerz Tour officially kicks off on Valentine's Day (February 14) at Rogers Arena in Vancouver with opening act Icona Pop.
Cyrus - born Destiny - also shared a bed-side snap of herself cuddling her beloved b&w Pitt Bull named Mary Jane on Saturday.
